Ready to launch your WhatsApp survey? We got you covered globally

When you are ready, you can link your account to the WhatsApp network. Learn how and what charges apply in different countries.

Once you finished building and testing your WhatsApp survey, it is time to go live and link your account with the WhatsApp network. You will need to connect your Impaxio account with a service that sends/receives your messages to the WhatsApp network. Impaxio provides a built-in integration with Twilio - a leading international provider of WhatsApp messaging services. And don't worry, our support team will be glad to help you along the way.

Costs for sending WhatsApp Surveys

The costs incurred for sending and receiving WhatsApp messages via Twilio have two components: 1) cost per conversation and 2) cost per message sent or received.

1) Conversation-based pricing:

  • WhatsApp bills for each conversation initiated. A conversation is defined as a 24-hour timeframe during which a sender and a receiver interact.
  • This means that each WhatsApp survey you send out from the Impaxio platform counts as one "business-initiated" conversation.
  • The charges for each conversation depend on the country where the recipient of the WhatsApp survey is located. As there are big differences between countries, we recommend to check the costs for your survey recipient's countries on the Twilio pricing page.

2) Message-based pricing:

  • Additionally, Twilio charges a flat fee for each message sent or received through their platform, regardless of the country it is being sent to.
  • The flat fee is quite reasonable at $0.005 per message (please check Twilio website for current pricing).
